Applied Entrepreneurship

As I sat down thinking of what to write about, I allowed my thoughts to wonder around a little, its funny some times what comes to your mind, I drifted for a while, musing on why some students apply for some courses and what each implies, for a second i started thinking what the diference was between a student studing chemistry and another studing applied chemistry, was the former not going to apply what he was taught?. Applied mathemathics, Applied physics and the chain of applied courses goes on.
Come to think of it, this might be the missing link…Application! yes Application!!.
Why are so many people unsuccessful? only about 5% of world population are supersuccessful, 20% are just succesful. Unsuccessful people have a common habit:
1. They complain that their situation has not improved. They complain and always have someone to blame, they are always negative.
2. They look for scape goats, they blame those who offered them solutions to their problems as dupes and 419s.
3. They are looking for magic words, something they would just say, pronto, and what they want would just appear.
4. They move from one seminar to another hoping they would find the magic word.

Research has shown that what they are missing is Application!

You know what the one thing that stops over 95% of all the people who say they want to make money onlineor offline is?

They don’t take action…they sit around and think, and dream, and fantasize about what life will be like when they’ve struck it rich…

And all those dreams can become reality, as they have for thousands of people already…

But you have to snap out of your dream state and DO something here in the real world…

Once you take action, everything else starts moving for you…

Sometimes you may just have to apply the brakes and ask yourself what you have applied so far. Part of my resolve this year was to attend a minimum of 6 Business seminars, i have surpassed it and some of you may have as well but the question is, how much of that have you applied?. Knowledge is been celebrated as power, but maybe it should be pointed out here that many of our young people are loaded with so much information and knowledge and if you were like me sufering from “information Constipation” yet without result.
Newtons third law of motion clearly put this into perspective, “that a body at rest or uniform motion will remain same until a force acts on it”. My dear aspiring entrepreneur, knowledge as powerful as it is is not enough it must be applied. I made up my mind not to attend any more seminar until i apply the last knowledge acquired, and I can tell you that gave birth to this dream and many more in my quiver.
Have you applied your last knowledge gained or you simply are taking pride in the numbers of seminars and conferences you have attended, its time to be a student of applied knowledge.
